"Yes, a K2 snowboard would be worth your money. The first board I ever purchased was a K2, and although I don't currently have one in my quiver of decks, I'll probably be getting another one before the end of this season.
If you're at that point where you enjoy riding and renting is no longer cost-effective (and you want a K2), I'd recommend the K2 Format. The Format is K2's beginner-intermediate all-mountain board. It has good pop and should be a lot of fun for you as you progress. You'd even be alright on this board in the terrain park."
"I have a K2 Elixer. It's a few years old and I like it. I've had no problems with ground tricks, trees, kickers, pow, etc. but it is a guys board so it is heavier and shaped differently than the girls boards. I have just bought a girls board which is also a K2 and I am interested to see if my boarding improves because it is a board that is more in tune with my body size and shape plus the board I just bought has more pop than my original board so when I hit the park later on in the season I'm hoping that it will give me a bit of an advantage."
"Yes they are. My favorite all Mtn board is made by them. The K2 Zeppelin. They have great quality controll and there technology is up to date.
